About

I'm Chiko Mukwenha. I'm a product engineer from Zimbabwe, currently building and writing from wherever the wifi is good.

I taught myself to code over a decade ago, starting with Drupal and working my way through whatever the problem in front of me demanded. That path took me from Harare hackathons to building products for organisations in London to shipping my own things in public.

I care about craft. The kind of careful, boring work that compounds. Testing, fundamentals, understanding the tool before reaching for the abstraction. In a world that's increasingly fine with "good enough," I'm interested in what it means to do the work well.

I write here about building software, making things, and the experiments I run on myself along the way. I'm currently building contentboo.st in public with real numbers and real failures.
