This is my now page, a snapshot of what I'm focused on at this point in my life.

Making

Hydra is my main focus. I'm working on customer retention for South African businesses, with a lot of attention going into the experience of joining through WhatsApp and the tools a merchant needs to run things. There are plenty of moving parts, so I'm trying to keep each piece small enough to understand and finish properly.

Figuring out

How to work well with AI whilst staying involved in the decisions. I'm spending time breaking work into smaller features, checking each one, and being more deliberate about which model needs to do what. It's very easy to produce more work than you have time to properly look at.

Writing

Catching up on the lessons sitting inside these projects. My thoughts on AI have moved on since early 2025, and the ideas in Taste have become a lot more practical whilst building Hydra. There is quite a bit to unpack.

Inspired by Derek Sivers and the /now page movement.
